PRINCIPAL

As we come to the end of Term 3, I would like to congratulate our students and thank our staff, families, and the wider College community for another productive and successful term.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the Farm Skills Competition and seeing first-hand the professionalism, teamwork, and practical expertise demonstrated by our students. Events such as the Farm Skills Competition, along with the Royal Agricultural Show, are much more than competitions. They give students valuable opportunities to showcase their skills, represent the College, and engage with the agricultural industry.

I would like to acknowledge the students representing Harvey Ag at this year's Royal Show, as well as the dedicated staff supporting them. Many months of preparation go into these events, and much of that work occurs beyond normal school hours. The commitment shown by both students and staff is a credit to our College.

As one of Western Australia's agricultural education providers, these events play an important role in promoting agricultural education and the opportunities available to young people within the industry. The recognition that our students and College continue to receive from industry leaders highlights the importance of this work and the positive reputation that Harvey Ag holds across the agricultural sector.

Today also marks an important milestone for our Year 12 students as they begin the next stage of their journey. While some students will return next term to complete examinations and final requirements, today marks the end of daily College life for many.

Our Year 12 cohort has made a valuable contribution to the College over the past three years, and we are proud of all they have achieved. Whether their future lies in agriculture, apprenticeships, traineeships, university, further training, or the workforce, we wish each of them every success. We look forward to celebrating their achievements formally at Graduation in November and sharing this special occasion with students, families, and staff.

I wish all students, staff, and families a safe and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to welcoming our Year 10 and Year 11 students back for Term 4.
