Our Year 12 Vocational Major students recently participated in a team bonding day designed to strengthen the skills that are essential both in the classroom and the workplace. Through a range of engaging and collaborative activities, students developed their communication, teamwork, problem-solving and leadership skills while building trust and positive relationships with their peers.

Year 7 students from 7A, 7B & 7C attended Wyndham Tech on Monday 27th July to learn about future jobs in the Energy sector. Students worked with robotics using Lego Spike, working in control rooms using VR technology, Game Development to solve sustainable energy problems and used Drone technology with machine learning to clean solar panels.

After a wonderful day with year 7, I look forward to seeing what advances they can make with technology to solve problems in the Micro:Bit unit next term.

Last term the Year 12 Legal Studies students had the privilege of meeting with Rob Hulls, the former State Attorney-General. As Attorney-General, Rob Hulls instigated significant and lasting changes to Victoria's legal system which saw Victoria become a national leader in progressive social justice reform. He established special courts for Victoria's Indigenous community, for people with mental health issues (Assessment and Referral Court), for people with drug addiction (Drug Court) and for victims of family violence (Family Violence specialist list). Students were able to revise key ideas of Unit 3 and ask questions of someone who has been part of the justice system both past and recent years.
