Numeracy

This term in Numeracy, Grade 3 students will develop their mathematical skills across a range of topics. They will solve multiplication and division word problems, identify and describe right angles, tell the time using both analogue and digital clocks, explore the features of 3D objects, and use bar models to solve addition and subtraction problems.

 

This term, Grade 4 students will continue developing their mathematical understanding across a range of topics. They will explore multiplication and division strategies, including the distributive and associative properties, classify and compare angles, investigate equivalent fractions, use grid reference systems to give and follow directions, and partition decimals to strengthen their understanding of place value.

 

Students will also participate in daily number fluency activities to build confidence and improve their recall of number facts. Regular retrieval practice will reinforce previously taught concepts, strengthen long-term memory, and support students in making connections across different areas of mathematics.
