Child Safety and Wellbeing at Monash SDS:

 Information for Families and the School Community

At Monash SDS, we are committed to providing an environment where students are safe, supported and feel safe.

Our child safety framework explains how we promote and maintain the safety and wellbeing of all students and protect them from harm. 

It includes our:

• Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy
• Child Abuse (including Grooming) Identification and Response procedures
• Child Safety Code of Conduct, which outlines acceptable and unacceptable behaviours for all staff, contractors, volunteers and visitors

• Other child safety policies, procedures and practices that support a child safe culture across our school.

We are committed to the continuous improvement of our child safety framework and regularly review our policies and practices to ensure they remain effective, up to date and aligned with child safe standards.

Our students, families and community members are important partners in creating and maintaining a child safe environment. 

Through communications such as this newsletter, we aim to ensure our community is aware of:

• our commitment to child safety and wellbeing
• the policies and procedures that support child safety at our school
• how to provide feedback on our child safety practices

• how to raise child safety concerns, complaints or allegations.
