Digital Wellbeing

Building young people’s digital literacy skills.
Online spaces can pose risks for children and young people. Talking together about how to stay safer and where to get help if something goes wrong is a great strategy to build children’s digital literacy and online safety skills in the lead up to age 16.
See eSafety's page for social media restrictions and your family.
We strongly encourage parents to talk to your children especially in Grade 5 and 6 about the use of social media. The e-Safety website is a great hub of resources, information and recommendations about how to approach these topics together with your child.

Children and young people bring unique perspectives and valuable insights to the issues that affect them. Explore our resources for young people with your under-16 to help them with the social media age-restriction changes.
