A Prayer for Our School Community
2026 St Brendan’s Primary School Theme
‘Seek Peace and Pursue it’
In 2026, our St Brendan’s Primary School theme is, “Seek Peace and Pursue it.’ This theme invites us to reflect on how we journey together each day — in our learning, our relationships, and the way we treat one another.
On the first day back our staff gathered in prayer to reflect on our new school theme. This time allowed us to pause, reconnect with our shared purpose, and commit ourselves anew to building a peaceful, faith-filled school community where respect, compassion, and understanding guide all that we do.
As a school named after St Brendan the Navigator, we are reminded that faith is a journey. Like Brendan, we are called to move forward with trust, courage, and hope, even when the path ahead is uncertain. Guided by our Mercy founders, we strive to live with compassion, understanding, and a deep respect for the dignity of every person.
Inspired by the Gospel and the Mercy charism, we are challenged to be peacemakers — choosing kindness over conflict, listening with open hearts, and responding with grace, especially in moments that test us.
May this theme guide our school community throughout the year, shaping our choices, strengthening our sense of belonging, and reminding us that peace begins with small, faithful actions lived each day.
We look forward to a year grounded in faith, guided by Mercy, and united in peace.
