Two of a Kind – A Winter Holiday Reading Activity
The Pittwater House Library invites parents of students in Years 7-10 to participate in 'Two of a Kind – A Winter Holiday Reading Activity'.
What is ‘Two of a Kind’?
Each parent/carer and child will:
- Engage in shared holiday reading
- Receive a copy of the same book – the title, author and genre will remain a mystery until it comes home and you and your child unwrap it together
- Read the book and share your thoughts and opinions – a mini book club
Why is reading important?
Reading with your child:
- Teaches them important lessons about the world, behaviour and feelings
- Models that reading is a lifelong passion, not something that is limited to the school years
- Creates special moments with children
If you would like to participate, please register via this link before 21 June. Books will be sent home with your child in Week 9 and should be returned at the start of Term 3.
