Congratulations Rita Gawam

While we often celebrate the achievements of our students, and at times our staff, it is also important to recognise the wonderful accomplishments of parents within our school community.

A belated congratulations to Rita Gawam, mother of Alexx (Year 6), who recently completed her Bachelor of Nursing at Swinburne University, graduating as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and commencing work in Youth Mental Health.

Throughout her studies, Rita supported both herself and Alexx as a solo parent, making this achievement all the more inspiring. As a mature-age student, single parent, and positive role model, Rita’s determination and perseverance are truly commendable.

Proving that it is never too late to learn and pursue your goals, Rita has already taken the next step in her journey and is currently undertaking her Masters degree.

We congratulate Rita on this outstanding achievement and wish her every success in her continued studies and career.
