From The Team

Hello our wonderful Junior School Families!

What a fabulous fortnight we have had! We have loved celebrating Book Week with lots of exciting book-themed activities across our classrooms and of course our annual Book Week Parade with students (and staff!) showcasing some truly wonderful and creative costumes. See below for some photos!

Production

A reminder notice was sent home to families last week regarding costumes for our upcoming production. On Wednesday 9th September, students will participate in their dress rehearsal and will be taking their costumes home with them. This means students can arrive at the venue already dressed and ready for their performance on Production Night.

If you have any questions about costumes or any aspect of the production, please don't hesitate to speak with your child's teacher.

Thank you, Miss Rowley!

It has been wonderful to have Miss Rowley as part of 1/2F and the Junior School over the past three weeks as part of her pre-service teaching placement.

We have loved having her as part of our level and she has been incredibly helpful in sharing her dancing expertise with all three classes as we prepare our production dances.

Thank you, Miss Rowley! We have loved having you with us and are very excited that you will be returning to help us on Production Night!

We hope you all have a wonderful fortnight!

Junior School Activities

 Book Week

What a fabulous Book Week we had! Our celebrations kicked off with a fun Book Week Parade in the hall, with lots of creative costumes and book-inspired characters.

There happened to be lots of red and white stripes in the Junior School - with Mrs Fox, Mr Purdon, Miss Whittington, Miss Rowley, Tania, Felicity and Tracey all dressing up as ‘Where’s Wally’!

Students enjoyed lots of fun Book Week activities throughout the week, celebrating their favourite books, characters and stories!

Our Foundation students have had lots of fun helping Felicity in the garden, by feeding the chickens and lending a hand with some gardening jobs!

Responsible Pet Ownership

Last week, our junior School students had a fantastic time learning about responsible pet ownership and how to stay safe around dogs. Pam and her lovely dog, Zaria, helped make the session fun and engaging as students learnt important safety skills.

Students explored when dogs should be left alone, how to recognise when a dog is happy, frightened or angry, and the safe way to approach and greet a dog. They also learnt what to do if they are approached by an unknown or aggressive dog.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to build their confidence and develop important skills for staying safe and responsible around dogs. A big thank you to Pam and Zaria for helping us learn so much!
