Principal's Report

Dear families,

 

A special thank you to our fantastic staff who pitched in while I was away. We are very fortunate  to have such a great group of people working together for the good of our school and students. My trip to Darwin was wonderful. A perfect opportune time to catch up with family and share in the wedding celebrations in such an idealistic setting.

 

CHANGE OF DATE FOR TOOLAMBA ATHLETIC SPORTS

Due to time limitations, we have moved the athletics to Friday 13th September to enable students to have more time to practise for the events.

 

PARENT/STUDENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS.

Staff have given very positive feedback on the Parent Techer Interviews which have commenced this week. We really appreciate families giving up their time to attend. Bookings are still open for next week. 

 

KEEPING OUR SCHOOL TIDY

What a wonderful example Ashlyn and Liam set at lunch time today. They spent their time picking up rubbish all around  the playground.

Book Club for this term closes off tonight so please finalise your orders.

 

PARENTS & FRIENDS

A huge thank you to Parents and Friends as a result of their fund-raising efforts, we have been able to purchase trolleys for our classroom libraries. Previously they were stored in large tubs which were very difficult to move from classroom to classroom.

 

P & F UPCOMING EVENT

Father’s Day Stall will be held on Tuesday 27th August. Any donations for our stall would be greatly appreciated. They can be left at the office. 

 

FATHER’S DAY BREAKFAST

Please keep this date free, Thursday 29th August. Fathers are welcome to come along and enjoy breakfast with their child/children. If you plan to attend, please complete form via Xuno.

  • Tuesday 20th. Dress Up Day.  Come dressed as your favourite book character. Parade at 9.05am in the amphitheatre. 

WEEK 7 (26th-30th August)

  • Monday 26th Curriculum Day (no students)
  • Tuesday 27th Father’s Day Stall (9am-11am)
  • Thursday 28th Father’s Day Breakfast (7am-9am)

WEEK 8 (2nd-6th September) 

  • Grade 3 / 4 Camp Toolangi (Wed, Thur, Fri)

WEEK 9 (9th–13th September) 

  • Wednesday 11th AsheFest Foundation -Grade 3
  • Thursday 12th AsheFest Grade 4-6
  • Thursday RUOK Day wear something yellow.  Students from Foundation to Grade 3 are encouraged to wear something yellow. Students in Grade 4 -6 will be required to wear full school uniform to the Ashe Fest.
