From the Classroom

Art News

Grade 2 have been working hard on our woven lizards and they are nearly complete! Students used pipe cleaners to create the body of their lizard, then got to choose what colour wool they wanted to wrap their lizard in. They are coming along so well, and they will be displayed in the foyer with the NAIDOC week paintings.

Grade 3 and 4 students began their construction of a paper mache hot air balloon. We looked at the origins of paper mache, how it has been used in the past and how it is still used today. We used a balloon as the base of our hot air balloon and began the layering process. This will take a few weeks to complete.

Grade 5/6 Sports Day

The Grade 5 and 6 students travelled to Tatura on Tuesday to participate in inter school games of netball, basketball and soccer. The students were mixed in teams with students from Tatura Primary School, Sacred Heart Primary School and Murchison Primary School. It was a fantastic way to encourage team work with new people.
