Cardall - Teina Toa:

In the second week of the holidays Cardall took part in the Ponsonby Rugby Teina Toa Programme, which ran from Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 3 pm each day, (and sometimes even later).

One evening Cardall didn’t get home until midnight after visiting a relative to practice her speech for the Saturday showcase, which she proudly delivered in Samoan.

Meeting Black Fern Sylvia Brunt was a real highlight for her, as Sylvia is a proud Samoan female rugby player, and a true role model for Cardall.

Her parents are incredibly proud of her dedication, hard work, and the love she continues to show for her culture.It was such a meaningful experience for her, and they wanted to share this special achievement with us.
