Dear Parents and Families of Year 4, 

Welcome back to Term 3! We all hope you have enjoyed a restful break with your families over the past two weeks and are feeling refreshed for another amazing term of learning.  

HOMEWORK 

The continued focus for Year 4 homework is reading each night and recording this in the student diaries.  

For the first four weeks of Term 3, students will be able to select books of personal interest for reading each night. This may include library books, or books from home. 

In week 5, students will receive the class novel, Storm Boy, which they will be required to read at home Monday – Wednesday, and can continue to enjoy books of their own choice on other nights.  

Students are expected to record home reading each night and are encouraged to have a parent sign their diary on a weekly basis. Students are also responsible for taking their novel home each night, apart from the first four weeks of this term, and returning it the following day. Please support your child to develop an effective homework routine.  

In Semester 2, your child will participate in DigiTechinstead ofOASIS. Sports uniform is not required on DigiTech days. Sports uniform should be worn on Tuesdays and Fridays only.
