P&F Event Calendar

We have a busy run to the end of the year with lots of events planned: 

Joeymeter Fundraising Update

Thank you again for sharing your voice through the P&F survey earlier this year. The results identified replacing the school turf as a key priority for our community.

We’re excited to share that our Joeymeters are now up around the school!

These fundraising trackers will help our entire school community follow our progress as we work towards our goal of $120,000 to resurface our front play area, creating a safer and more enjoyable space for our students.

After each fundraising event, we’ll update the Joeymeters so everyone can see how far we’ve come and celebrate each milestone along the way.

A huge thank you to everyone who has already supported our fundraising events, these efforts have made sure we’re already well on our way to reaching our goal!

Second Hand Uniform Donations 

Thank you to everyone who donated items and supported our recent uniform shop stall. Thanks to your generosity, we raised an amazing $592 for our school community. 

If your child has outgrown any uniform items that are still in good condition, we would greatly appreciate donations. Items can be handed in at the school office at any time. 

The uniform shop will not be operating again until Term 4. However, if you require any uniform items in the meantime, please reach out. We’re happy to help where we can. 

Year Level WhatsApp Guidelines

Our year-level WhatsApp groups are kindly facilitated by volunteer Parent Representatives. We are very grateful for the time and effort they contribute to supporting our community, sharing reminders and helping families stay connected.

Following consultation at the recent P&F meeting, we would like to share our updated WhatsApp Guidelines with the school community. These will be shared through WhatsApp groups.

These guidelines are designed to support respectful, inclusive and helpful school related communication between parents and guardians. Please remember that the groups are managed by Parent Representatives and are not monitored by St Joseph’s Primary School.

Working Bee

A sincere thank you to everyone who gave their time on Saturday at our final working bee. Your support and hard work are greatly appreciated. 

We’ve heard your feedback and are changing this up. Moving forward, instead of holding working bee’s, the P&F will host a sausage sizzle lunch for students on the final day of term. Every dollar raised will go towards engaging external contractors to undertake ongoing maintenance around the school, helping ensure children continue to enjoy a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment. 

Winter Drinks

Next up on the P&F calendar is the Annual Winter Drinks at the Mt Erica Hotel on Thursday 20 August from 7pm. 

Step away from the bedtime routine and join us for a relaxed evening where you can connect and enjoy uninterrupted conversations!

Father’s Day Events 

Save the date! The school are planning a lovely celebratory morning for our dads, grandfathers, guardians and other important people in our children’s lives on Friday 4th September. The morning will begin with breakfast in the school hall from 8.15am followed by a Father’s Day liturgy. 

We will shortly share a sign-up sheet seeking volunteers to help with the breakfast. If you can spare some time that morning, we would love to see you there. 

The P&F will also host a ticketed Father’s Day dinner at a local venue, with further details coming soon.

Calling all golf loving dads: Could you help organise a round of golf? Last year’s Father’s Day golf event was a great success, and we would love to hold it again. Please contact the school office if you can assist.

Art Show – Wednesday 21 October 2026

The St Joseph’s P St Joseph’s Primary School Art Show is a biannual showcase and celebration of the arts! The Art Show this year will be held on Wednesday 21st October from 5pm - 7:30pm. 

Sponsorship Opportunities

If you or your business would like to become an official sponsor of the art show, we are looking for donations of $500 or more to contribute towards the fundraising of the event. Please email marta.cummings@sjmalvern.catholic.edu.au if you’re interested in becoming an official sponsor of the show. 

Fundraising & Art in the Dark

This year for the Art Show will feature a curated exhibition, ‘Art in the Dark’, showcasing works generously donated by local and international artists . The artworks will be available to purchase on the night, with all proceeds supporting the school. 

The exhibition will also be open to grandparents and special visitors during Grandparents’ Day on Friday 23 October.

A very special thank you to Fleur, André’s mum in Year 3, for her vision and hard work in bringing Art in the Dark together. We are very excited to see this new fundraising initiative come to life!

In addition, we will be running an online silent auction featuring a range of exciting art items. 

2027 Family Fun Day

We’re excited to begin planning for our 2027 Family Fun Day, scheduled for Saturday 20 March 2027!

While we’re still in the early planning stages, you can help us get started by collecting clean glass jars to be filled with prizes. Jars can be dropped off at the school office from now on.

P&F Meeting – Tuesday 25 August 2026

Our next P&F meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 25 August 2026 at 7pm in the Staff Room.
