U13 State Baseball

Over the school holidays, Grade 5 student, Hinston Lai, competed in the Victoria U13 State Winter Baseball Championships in Bendigo.

A huge congratulations to the North Eastern Baseball Association (NEBA) Under 13 Representative Team, who went through the tournament undefeated and won the Grand Final! 👏

Hinston, was the only player from the Wangaratta Rangers Baseball Club selected for the team. While he may be small in stature, he definitely makes up for it with his determination, courage, and heart. 💪🧡

Hinston took the mound on day one before returning behind the plate on day two, showcasing his versatility throughout the tournament. His favourite moment was chasing down a fly ball over his head and making an incredible running catch. ⚾️

The coach said, “Hinston didn’t leave anything in the tank over the weekend,” and described him as one of NEBA’s standout performers.

Athletics

District Athletics will be in week 9 of this term. 

Years 3-4 will be on Wednesday the 9th of September, and Years 5-6 will be on Thursday the 10th of September. 

This will be run with P-12 with the help of parent and FCJ students. 

Interleague Football

Congratulations to the 26 students who proudly represented our school in the Superkick and Under 12 Interleague Football competition on Friday, 24 July.

All students displayed outstanding teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day, making our school proud.

A special congratulations goes to Harry and Jack, who were both awarded medals in recognition of their outstanding performances during the competition. Their hard work, skill, and commitment on the field were a fantastic achievement. Well done to all of our players for representing our school with pride!
