Art

From Foundation to Grade 6, students have been busy exploring the wonderful world of clay, creating a variety of unique pieces inspired by artists such as Pey Chi, as well as designing pinch pots, quirky monsters, trinket trays and snails.
After first bringing their ideas to life on paper, students carefully transformed their designs into clay creations.
Working with clay has challenged students to think creatively while developing patience and problem-solving skills. From pieces that cracked or collapsed to tricky details that needed reworking, students showed fantastic persistence and a willingness to keep trying until they achieved a result, they were proud of.
We are incredibly impressed with their creativity and determination and can't wait to see their projects come to life when we paint them next week. After that, they'll be ready to bring home and enjoy! If you find yourself walking past the art room over the next week, take a look in the window and see for yourself.
We are asking for donations of empty egg cartons (we need 115) for a project our Senior students are commencing on August 10th. Please drop them into the office.
