Welcoming (back!) a familiar face

This term we welcomed our 'new' school nurse and we were pleased to discover that our new school nurse is Tatiana, who worked with use as the school's nurse several years ago. It's wonderful to welcome back someone who knows and understands the school's approach to supporting young people and who is already familiar with many of the school staff. 

School Policies - now available on the BYCS website

As part of the process of renaming the school, we have reviewed and revised our school's local policies. As a government school, the work we do is covered by many Department of Education policies and procedures. Where a local policy is required, these have been developed to fit our specific context.

Keeping young people safe

Bindjiroo Yaluk Community School is committed to keeping young people safe from child abuse and exploitation. If anyone is making a student feel unsafe, they should speak to a trusted member of the school staff.
