Year 8 Camp
Year 8 Camp
The Year 8s finished off 2024 by heading off to Phillip Island for their camp. It was a great opportunity to celebrate a year of hard work all while testing our limits and teamwork through activities such as defying the 18m high giant swing, paddling on canoes, pushing our bravery on the high ropes course and embracing our inner elven warriors with archery. Year 8 students spent time with their friends at the Penguin Parade and Koala Conservation Centre and had the opportunity to reflect on how special and beautiful our state is.
As they have always done throughout 2024, the year 8s were supportive of one another and took every challenge with great humour and zeal. We are incredibly proud of the cohort and hope the camp will be a great lasting memory of their time as year 8s.
A special thank you to the teachers who joined us and ensured such a fun camp: Mr Bandara, West, Mr Sherman, Mr Ebert, Ms Li, Ms Angus, Ms Oliver, Mr Marsh, Mr Faulkner, Mr Lewandowski and Mr Cowling. As always, we also want to express our most sincere thanks to Ms Kelli Lawson for her hard work in making sure the camp ran smoothly and successfully.
Overall, our camp saw a lot of chocolate eaten, a lot of laughs had, and friendships and memories formed - the perfect way to end the year! Congratulations, year 8s!
