KLA Feature: Year 8

Year 8 students have commenced their faith and learning journey at the College with great enthusiasm and pride. They participated reverently in the Opening Mass, honouring the Catholic tradition that is central to the life of Caroline Chisholm College.
Embracing this year’s theme, “Together We Thrive,” Year 8 students are building positive relationships with their peers and teachers as they strive to achieve their best learning outcomes. It has been wonderful to see many students already volunteering their time and talents in service to the College community. Students have participated in important roles such as Flag Duty, assisting with the Ash Wednesday Liturgy, supporting the College Open Night, and helping with Bus Assistance, among other activities.
All students are encouraged to actively engage in the life of the College and work towards achieving Caroline Chisholm College Awards by demonstrating diligence in their learning and generously volunteering for College events and initiatives.
This term, Year 8 students will also enrich their classroom learning through engaging incursions such as English Writer’s Incursion and HSIE Viking Incursion, providing valuable opportunities to deepen their understanding and extend their skills. The College Swimming Carnival was a great success with students showing great enthusiasm, collaboration and teamwork.
As Year 8 continue their learning journey, we encourage parents to ensure that the College Diary is used as an effective tool for communication with classroom teachers and for regularly checking the ‘Learning Preparation’ tasks to be completed at home. Working together in partnership with the College and ensuring effective communication will help ensure the best possible growth and learning outcomes for all Year 8 students.
