Kingfishers smash it out of the sporting park!
What a term of sport we've had here on Kingfisher Island! From smashing sixes to making waves, our PHS athletes have been absolutely on the ball. Keep on reading to learn how all our teams fared.
Tennis - serving up success
- Senior Girls: Took the win and are off to regionals - game, set, match! All other Cohorts are getting ready to rally at their upcoming competitions - we’re expecting plenty of winners.
Cricket - batting above average
- Intermediate: First off the ranks and smashing sixes left, right and centre - the future is looking pitch-perfect.
- Seniors: Our captain, Ned Reid, scored a perfect 35 at Divisional. We only lost one match for the day and only by one run on the last ball. Absolutely devasting for most of the boys' last ever school Cricket!
Volleyball - setting the standard
- Senior and Intermediate: Enjoyed a fantastic day out, really setting themselves up for success.
- Cohort 2031: Currently trialling — already looking ready to spike the competition.
- Cohort 2030: Busy in training and digging deep to build their skills.
Baseball - stepping up to the plate
- Y7 and Y9/10: Showing great promise and hitting their stride as they had a fun day out.

The whole school made a splash at our annual Swimming Carnival!
- Glorious weather, great vibes, and plenty of fast swimming, with Acacia House bringing home the trophy.
- Incredible costumes had everyone pool-side proud.
- Cohort 2026 strutted in wearing their finest, truly making a statement!
- 18 students powered through rainy conditions at regionals to proudly represent the PHS badge - that’s real stroke of determination!
Fantastic effort to all our athletes this term — you’ve really gone the distance! We can’t wait to see what Term 2 and the rest of Term 1 brings. Keep training hard and staying game ready, PHS! 💙💪
