Message from the Principal

Welcome back to Term 1. It has been a smooth and positive start to the year, and it has been wonderful to see students settle quickly into routines, reconnect with teachers and friends, and engage strongly with learning across the school.
Our value of Community has been front and centre, with students building connections across year levels, classrooms and House activities. Whether it’s joining a lunchtime club, representing the school in sport, or showing kindness in everyday moments, these actions help create a culture where everyone feels known, supported and included.
It has also been great to see interschool sport begin and our clubs and activities program in full swing. A highlight so far has been Swimming Sports thank you to staff, students and families for your support on the day. The event was a fantastic celebration of participation, House spirit and student leadership, with our Year 12s’ costumes adding plenty of fun and energy. I was also lucky enough to take Cohort 2027 (Yr 11) and Cohort 2026 (Yr 12) students out to volleyball and had a great day.
Beyond the classroom, production rehearsals are underway and it has been wonderful to hear our music ensembles practising again. We are also proud of the learning and community opportunities already on offer, including Preston Mob visiting Dardi Munwurro for a Smoke Ceremony, and my VM class visiting Trades Hall and meeting the Australian Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese.
At the moment, we are unable to post highlights on social media due to technical issues during the transition process. For now, we will share key updates through this newsletter each term. Other important year level information will continue to be shared through Cohort newsfeeds.
