End of Year Message to Families

As we enter the last day of the 2025 school year, I want to take a moment to acknowledge what a positive and productive year it has been for our students, staff, and community. Our classrooms have been vibrant places of learning, our students have shown growth in both academic achievement and wellbeing, and our staff have demonstrated ongoing professionalism, care, and dedication.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our families for your partnership throughout the year. Your support, attendance at events, and encouragement have made a significant difference to our school culture. Whether through celebrations of learning, open classrooms, lunchtime picnics, sporting carnivals, or the many community events held during the year, your involvement helps create a strong sense of belonging for every student.

Construction of our new preschool will commence on the 5th January, with construction expected to take approximately 7 months. This will be a wonderful addition to our school and one that we know will make a difference to our community. I have included an update from Infrastructure NSW as part of this newsletter.

Planning for 2026:

We are now finalising staffing, class structures, and operational planning for the new school year. Key dates include:

Staff Development Days (SDDs): There will be four SDDs at the beginning of 2026.
Teachers return: Tuesday, 27 January 2026.
All students return: Monday, 2 February 2026. Students will line up in their 2025 class lines in the assembly area.
Kindergarten 2026: Kindergarten students start on 2 February at 9.15 and will meet under the “C” block cola. (the concrete area outside of the kinder rooms)

Preschool Update
