Stage 1:

Spectacular!

What an incredible year it has been in Stage 1! We have shared so many moments filled with learning, laughter, and new friendships. Highlights from our year include the wonderful school production, our exciting Sydney Zoo excursion, fun-filled picnic day, the joy of Level 0 reward days, special buddy lessons, and the colourful Book Parade. Each of these experiences has contributed to a truly memorable year.

All Stage 1 teachers will cherish these memories and hold each student close in their hearts. We want to thank all our families for their support and wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. We look forward to welcoming our students back in 2026 for another fantastic year!

From Mrs Badham, Miss Grabowski and Miss Mowlam

4LH

In 4LH in Term 4, it was a great ending. I love when we do writing because I love our teachers' choices of books that are picked by Miss Hammond and Mrs Loveday. We were reading the thing about Oliver which was my favourite book for the year in Term 1.

I'm so excited for the end of the year because we do an end of year reward for the people who haven't got on a level this year and this term. For the end of year reward we do a movie day where we get to go to the cinema and we are watching Zootopia 2.

My favourite thing that we did this year was the gift swap. I got this lip mask which was so pretty and then Mrs Loveday and Miss Hammond gave us something really cute and I was grateful that they did that for us.

At the start of December, we finally got our elves named Karen, Kevin, Deven and Kleven.

The names are kind of weird but at least they rhyme.

Last week we made dioramas and we got to finish them on Friday. My diorama was a tornado that was made using cardboard, paint, string and a party hat.

I loved when we put up the Christmas tree because every year Mrs Loveday pops up different decorations and this year the Christmas tree was decorated in purple, my favourite colour.

This term was very fun, we got our reports. Sport was very fun. We got to play soccer, basketball and European handball. We got to do a secret Santa (gift swap), I got a chocolate calendar, someone got a neon basketball and someone else got 2 Lego sets. We got two Elves on December the 1st they were named Kevin and Karen then 5 days later Devin arrived then Klevin in the last week. Last week we started doing our natural disaster dioramas. I made a tsunami with Koby. We had to research about our natural disaster and present a poster and make our diorama. We used a box, cardboard, paint and crepe paper. We made a big mess, but it was lots of fun.

As we wrap up Term 4, I want to celebrate an incredible group of students who have truly stood out this term. Their leadership across the school has inspired others, their empathy towards each other and the wider community has created a positive and supportive environment, and their dedication to achieving their personal best is admirable. It’s been a privilege to teach and work with such a remarkable group, and I look forward to seeing all they will continue to accomplish in their future learning journeys. Well done to each and every one of you!

We had our Koala Christmas party on Monday December 15th. Everyone enjoyed their party food, with snacks including cupcakes, Rudolf biscuits, trifle, pastries, fruit platters and spring rolls! With fizzy drinks in hand, we celebrated a wonderful year together and a safe, happy Christmas to come.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all of our Koala students and families. We hope our Year 6’s have a wonderful transition into high school, and we cannot wait to see our returning students in 2026 ♥️
