Curriculum 

Students will investigate the observable properties of materials and explore how these properties determine how materials are used. Students classify materials as solids, liquids or gases and investigate how heating and cooling can cause changes of state and share their findings by using basic scientific terminology. They will explore everyday examples of materials being selected, reused and recycled according to their properties and consider how thoughtful choices about materials can reduce waste and support sustainability.
