Specialist Classes
2025
We have been super busy during Italian this term. It has been pleasing to see each class come with so much enthusiasm and a great deal of prior knowledge about the Italian culture. Over the past few weeks, the F-2 students have been learning about farm animals, counting and testing their knowledge of the colours and number to 20.
The 3-6 students have been learning "Che ore sono? (What is the time?) Sono le due (the time is 2:00)
The 3-6 students have also made gnocchi! They learnt about the history of gnocchi and then rolled, cut and curled the gnocchi into shape. We had so much fun!
The recipe is attached so you can make it at home.
Now that tennis is finished, we've had two more weeks before the end of term to complete our bowls program.. And what a fun couple of weeks it has been!
The F/1's have kicked into a whole new gear and have really settled into the routine of Sport. They enthusiastically participated in games like 'Farmer Sam' and could demonstrate proper bowling technique. Well done F/1's, I can't wait to see what's in store in Term 2!
All other year levels also demonstrated great enthusiasm and willingness to improve their technique. The 4, 5 & 6 cohort were given the opportunity to play on the real green with real bowls down at the Tongala Bowling Club. A huge thank you goes to the Bowls Club and especially Pete Tinning for giving us his time to give us some pointers. We all appreciated the opportunity, which I'm sure was very evident by the happy smiles!
As the term comes to a close in Art, we've been finishing off our construction projects made with recycled items. Check out some of the awesome owls monsters and tree houses made by our talented students! Can you believe they are made out of recycling?!
We've also been having some fun doing some Easter craft. Keep creating over the holidays and we can't wait for some more art in term 2!
We've been learning about instruments of the orchestra this term, and there's a concert in the school holidays that showcases them! It's at Riverlinks in Shepparton and tickets are only $10.
