Home Reading

Dear ANPS Community,
As we come to the end of another wonderful semester, we would like to thank all families for their ongoing support of our home reading program.
Across the school, teachers have observed tremendous growth in students’ literacy skills. Through consistent reading practice at both school and home, students have developed greater confidence, improved fluency, expanded their vocabulary, and strengthened their comprehension skills. Most importantly, many students are developing a genuine love of reading and a curiosity for learning.
Home reading continues to play a vital role in supporting student achievement. Even a short period of reading each day provides valuable opportunities for students to practise reading strategies, engage with a variety of texts, and build positive reading habits that will benefit them throughout their lives.
