Senior Report

Literacy:

In Literacy this term we are focusing on a film study with the key learning outcomes for the students being able to use evidence from the film and through class discussions develop understanding of the authors decisions. The students may have explained to you that we are watching snippets of 'Wonder' instead of reading the book to which we had a discussion about the importance of being able to analyse both digital and physical evidence (books and movies). The overarching moral of this movie is "When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind", this is a beautiful reminder of always finding the good in everything.

Maths

Our focus for the next 4 weeks is Fractions. We have explored what equivilant fractions are, the parts of a fraction such as the numerator, vinculum and denominator and the students have a growing confidence around identifying proper and improper fractions.

ART

Our self portraits are well underway and will be finished soon! They are looking incredible and I cannot wait for you to finally view them!
