Catholic Identity

This Term, our Religious Education focus has been God, Religion and Life. Students have been exploring how people come to know God through creation, Scripture, prayer, relationships and the world around them.
Through classroom learning, discussion and reflection, students have been encouraged to ask big questions about faith, life and how our beliefs shape the way we live. This focus reminds us that faith is lived each day through our words, actions, relationships and care for God’s creation.
As we move into the school holidays, it is a wonderful time for families to rest, reconnect and enjoy time together. It is also an opportunity to continue living like Jesus in our everyday actions. We can do this by showing kindness, being patient, including others, offering forgiveness, helping at home and caring for those around us.
Families may like to continue the conversation at home by asking children:
- Where do you notice God in your life?
- How can we show love, kindness and care for others?
- What is one way we can treat others like Jesus during the holidays?
In Term 3, our Year 4 students will be preparing to receive the Eucharist for the first time.
