Year 7 PE

Last term, Year 7 students completed the Sport Education in Physical Education Program (SEPEP). SEPEP is a student-centered approach to teaching PE where students take on various roles and responsibilities to plan, organise, and participate in a sports competition.

Year 7s completed the unit playing volleyball and took on roles such as referee, media reporter, scorer, and coach.

The grand final was held and students received awards for fairest referee, most improved, best performance, best media report, and best teamwork. Well done to all students for their leadership and positive participation in the program!

Black Ranges Basketball

Recently, we had four teams compete in the Black Ranges Basketball tournament at the Intermediate and Senior levels. All students had a great day of competition, and represented our College proudly.

Congratulations to our Senior Girls team, who were the overall winners of the day, and will progress to the Greater Western Region tournament.

The two Year 9/10 Boys teams competed strongly, with Team A winning 6 of their 7 matches and Team B  showing great resilience and teamwork against tough opposition.

Our Senior Boys teams also had a successful day, with Team A progressing through to the grand final after an undefeated pool stage and finishing as runners-up, while Team B played some excellent team basketball throughout the tournament.

Well done to all students on their efforts and the way they represented St Brigid’s College.
