Exciting announcement!

We are very excited to announce that commencing in 2024 we will be launching a new parent portal to replace iGloo and a mobile app for parents.

The web-based Parent Lounge and the Parent Orbit App will enable you to access reports, the latest announcements, important alerts, easily approve excursion attendance (no more paper permission notes!), access your child's extra curricular details, track your child's attendance, access the school calendar and more!

The mobile app will enable you to interact, access important information and complete time sensitive tasks on the go. Utilising the notifications functionality, you will be prompted whenever there is an important piece of information for you to action.

Keep a look out for more details early in 2024 when we'll send you information on how to access both the Parent Lounge and Parent Orbit.

In the meantime, if your email address has changed, please let us know as soon as possible via office@chevalier.nsw.edu.au.

Year 9 and 10 Mathematics Classes 2024

Earlier this week, students in Years 8 and 9 were told if they had been placed in an Advanced Mathematics class or a Standard Mathematics class for 2024.

If you think your child has been placed in the wrong class, could you please contact Abi Parsons before Wednesday 13th December. After this date, there will be no class changes until the first assessment task has been completed in Term 1.

We are very excited that so many students have opted for an Advanced path next year. To support the success of our students, we have set some basic algebra work on Mathsonline, for the school holidays. We hope that by engaging in a small amount of Mathematics over the long break, your child will return to school better prepared for the rigour that is required in the Advanced path.

Duke of Edinburgh - Information session for parents

YouthAdvance is a Duke of Ed Open Award Centre, and have partnered with Chevalier to help deliver the Award to students in Years 9-12. YouthAdvance recently held a student information session at the College, and will soon be holding two Online Award Information Sessions, which are more aimed more at Parents. During the sessions they will provide details about the Award, what’s involved, costs and how to register, so students and parents have a full understanding of this fabulous program before signing up.
