What's happening in Prep

On Friday the 2nd of May we travelled by bus to Willum Warrain. We were all very excited as it was our first excursion!

We got to try on a possum skin cloak that is made when a baby is born and you have for your whole life

We tried some bush tucker. Some of the bush tucker was really salty. We even tried some that tasted like mint.

We went inside a traditional hut. The hut was so big it fit our whole class in there, and the teachers!

Before the smoke ceremony the ladies put ochre on our face. It is different for boys and girls.

At the end we all danced like emus and kangaroos, it was lots of fun.
