Voice of the Students

Year 4 has been busy learning all about volcanoes this term! 

Students have created their own volcano models and are currently painting them in preparation for an exciting eruption experiment. We are also working hard on writing information reports about volcanoes. Students have explored the different parts of an information report and have recently completed their introductions. They are now creating their own labelled illustrations and captions to support their writing.

Throughout our studies, we have particularly enjoyed learning about famous volcanoes including Diamond Head, Krakatoa, Mauna Loa, Mount Vesuvius and Mount Etna. It has been wonderful to see the students’ creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm shine throughout this engaging unit of work.
