Principal Team's Message
Nurture. Innovate. Celebrate.
Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Families,
Education Week
Education Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate public education and the fantastic learning happening in our school every day. This year’s theme is 'Showcase your school', and we are excited to do exactly that by opening our doors for an Education Week Open Morning on 18th May. Families are warmly invited to visit classrooms, see our students and teachers in action, and experience the strong routines, engaging learning and positive culture that make Maramba such a special place. We look forward to welcoming you and proudly showcasing our wonderful school community.

We will also have tours for future families being held at 9:30 and 10:30am on 18th May.
Mother's Day
On Friday May 8th, we celebrated Mother’s Day across the school.
In the morning, students visited the Mother’s Day stall, where they had the opportunity to purchase a range of gifts for a special person in their life. Thank you to FOM and all the families who donated for arranging this for our students.
In the afternoon, mums and special friends were warmly welcomed into classrooms to take part in celebrations and activities.
We hope all our mums and special friends had a wonderful Mother’s Day on Sunday May 10th.

Spotlight 📣 on Year 2 🎉
In Mathematics this week, Year 2s have been exploring additive patterns. Unlike patterns with a repeating rule, these patterns increase or decrease by the same amount. This is a great introduction to multiplication that students will soon begin to explore. Our Astronauts quickly picked up the skills by using various manipulatives in some very fun and explorative sessions. This type of learning is also allowing the teachers to explore their knowledge of mathematics patterns through different skill levels, as each student can demonstrate their understanding in ways that suit them. Both teachers were so excited to share the magic of Math with their class and couldn’t be more proud of their resilience and eagerness to keep learning. Fabulous showcase Academic Astronauts!

Our Basketball Court is Ready!
We are excited to share that our refurbished outdoor basketball court is now ready for all Maramba students to enjoy. The asphalting and line marking have been completed, and the court looks fantastic!
This upgraded space will provide our students with more opportunities to play, be active and enjoy time together during recess, lunch and PE lessons. We look forward to seeing it used and enjoyed by our students every day.
