FIRE Carriers – National Reconciliation Week

During National Reconciliation Week, our F.I.R.E Carriers Sophie, Sophia, Cleo and Ella demonstrated outstanding leadership as they organised and led a range of meaningful activities across our school community. This year's theme, “All In,” reminds us that reconciliation is everyone's responsibility and that we all have a role to play in building respectful relationships and understanding between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.

Throughout the week, the F.I.R.E Carriers hosted a school assembly with a focus on NRW and visited classrooms to teach students about Reconciliation and celebrate the rich history and culture of Indigenous peoples.  They also ran a variety of engaging activities including a lunchtime Kahoot!, Indigenous Story Time in the library, year level trivia sessions, lunchtime craft for the preps and a whole school colouring competition. Their enthusiasm, dedication and passion helped create valuable opportunities for learning, reflection and celebration. We thank Sophie, Sophia, Cleo and Ella for the sensational job they did and for the positive impact they made across our school community.
