Our students in Grade 1/2 have been engaged in collaborative learning across the classroom! From creating posters about the different seasons, to working with partners to solve subtraction problems and playing Grab and Go to learn phonics. The students have been building their communication, teamwork and thinking skills while having fun learning together.

Students in Grade 3/4 were given a design brief outlining what they needed to include in their new city, with each team receiving a different set of requirements. Working collaboratively, they developed their designs and calculated the lengths, perimeter, and area of each feature. They then applied a scale to determine the actual dimensions their designs would have when transferred to the playground. Throughout the task, students demonstrated excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.

The Prep children and teachers celebrated Milo’s birthday by dressing up as characters from the Little Learners Love Literacy program. The classroom was filled with excitement as students arrived in costume, bringing the characters to life through their outfits and enthusiasm. The celebration provided a fun and meaningful way to strengthen early literacy skills while also building a strong sense of community and enjoyment around reading.

We celebrate achievements at OLA every day in the classroom. Outstanding achievement is celebrated at every assembly in the front of the school. Congratulations to all the students who received an award last week.
