Other Term Four Events
Monday 27th October - Book Fair Commences
Our Annual Book Fair will take place from Monday 27th-Thursday 30th October. The children will visit the Book Fair during their Library sessions that week and the fair will be open for sales before and after school that week.
Grandparents Day - Thursday 30th October
All St Agnes’ Grandparents and special friends are invited to our Grandparents Day on Thursday 30th October from 9am-10.30am. There will be a liturgy in the church led by the children, followed by morning tea and a tour of our classrooms
Walkathon - Friday 31st October
Our annual school Walkathon will be held at Peterson Street Reserve on Friday 31st October. The children will walk down to the oval for a 9.30am start and they will exercise for around an hour. This is one of the school’s major fundraising events for the year. Parents and family members are encouraged to participate and help with lap marking.
Regional Hooptime Finals - Year 5/6 - Thusday 6th November
Our successful Year 5/6 Boys basketball team will head to the Regional Finals on Thursday 6th November at Nudawading Stadium. Details have been communicated via Operoo.
Year 1/2 Parish Mass - Friday 7th November
The Year 1/2 children will participate in Parish Mass on Friday 7th November at 9am. All parents and families are welcome to join this mass.
Fete Committee Meeting - Monday 10th November
The Fete Committee will gather together to continue planning for the 2026 Fete on Monday 10th November at 7.30pm.
2026 Prep Parent Information Night - Tuesday 11th November
The Prep Parent Information Night will be held on Tuesday 11th November at 7:30pm. This will take place at school in the classrooms. At this session, we will go through some of the specifics about our school and tips for helping your child to make a great start at school. It is also a great opportunity for new and existing families to connect.
Monday 10th November - Prep-Year 4 Swimming Commences
All students from Prep to Year 4 will participate in a swimming skills program at Toby Haenen Swim Centre from Monday 10th November - Friday 21st November. These sessions will happen every day in these weeks, with the exception of Wednesdays. Further information will be communicated via Operoo and Class Newsletters.
Fete Committee Fun Lunch - Wednesday 12th November
The St Agnes’ Fete Committee are hosting another ‘fun lunch’ on Wednesday 12th November. The last lunch event was very well supported by families, so mark this one in your calendars and look out for order forms. Everyone can have the day of lunchboxes!
St Agnes' Swimming Carnival - Tuesday 25th November
Our Swimming Carnival will be held on Tuesday 25th November at Mentone Aquatic, located at Mentone Grammar (9.15am-12.00pm). Further details will be communicated closer to the day.
Parents and Friends Committee AGM - Wednesday 26th November
Our Parents and Friends Committee Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 26th November at the earlier start time of 6.30pm. All parents are invited to attend this meeting. The P&F Executive for 2026 will be elected at this meeting.
Year 3/4 Scienceworks Excursion - Friday 28th November
As part of our Term Four Science Topic, our Year 3/4 students are heading to Scienceworks on Friday 28th November. More information will be communicated via Operoo in the coming week.
School Closure Day - 2026 Planning - Monday 1st December
Our school will be closed for 2026 Staff Planning on Monday 1st December. Thank you to all families for your understanding as we complete this important prepartory work.
Year Six Luna Park Excursion - Tuesday 2nd December
Our Year Six students and staff will head to Luna Park for their day of celebration on Tuesday 2nd December. More information to follow.
St Agnes’ Christmas Carols - Wednesday 3rd December
All families are invited to attend our Christmas Carols evening from 6.30pm on Wednesday 3rd December. It is a picnic style event and all family members are welcome.
Year 5/6 Beach Program - Thursday 4th - Friday 5th December
Our senior students head off to Mordialloc Surf Life Saving Club for an open-water swimming program. More information to follow.
Year 6 Final Assembly - Wednesday 10th December
The Year 6 Final Assembly will be held at the usual time on Wednesday 10th December. This will be a light-hearted, special assembly focused on sharing of memories of times at St Agnes’.
2026 Orientation Morning - Friday 12th December
Students from Year 1 to Year 5 will spend the morning with their 2026 classroom teacher on Friday 12th December. This is an opportunity to form vital teacher/students relationships.
End of Semester Reports - Friday 12th December
Semester Two Reports will be made available online through nForma Parent Portal and a hardcopy will also be sent home on this day.
Year 6 Final Day - Monday 15th December
The Year Six students will finish for the year on Monday 15th December at 3.25pm. Parents will be invited into the classrooms for the last hour of the day, before the children are dismissed for the final time.
End of Year/Graduation Liturgy - Monday 15th December at 6pm.
We gather as a whole school to mark the end of the 2025 school year and celebrate our Graduating Class of 2025 at a Liturgy held in the church. All students from Prep to Year 6 are expected to attend and wear their full summer school uniform. Graduation celebrations for the Year 6 students and their parents will follow in the hall.
Final day for Prep to Year 5 - Tuesday 16th December
The school year concludes for Prep to Year 5 on Tuesday 16th December at 1.30pm.
