From the Deputy Principal

This past week has been an outstanding example of community in action.

It was wonderful to see so many parents at the recent Whole School Athletics Carnival, and also to see our older and younger students supporting each other at their events. It was fantastic to see that over 85% of students participated in at least one event, with many taking part in three or more. We will continue to refine the carnival for next year and welcome any feedback.

My favourite memory of the carnival was watching the relays at the end, with all year groups competing one after the other and the whole school lining the track to cheer each other on.

Our community was also out in full force at our Valedictory events on Friday. I have never seen the Gym so packed as we celebrated our graduating Year Twelve students. It was lovely to see parents, grandparents, friends, council members and members of the wider community at the ceremony. The Guard of Honour following the Valedictory Awards Assembly was particularly special, with students from Pre-Primary to Year Eleven, along with parents and special guests, lining the way to honour our Year Twelve leavers.

Weeks like this affirm that our school is so much more than an educational facility. It is the hub of a much larger community, and one that is clearly thriving!

Tomorrow, we have our school Tour Afternoon from 2.00pm to 4.00pm, when we will welcome prospective and future families to our campus. We look forward to sharing our community with more people and helping it continue to grow.
