Message from the Principal

Principal's Update | Week 5, Term 4
It has been wonderful to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of our students at our annual Football Excellence and Netball Awards Nights. Congratulations to all students recognised for their commitment, contribution and achievements throughout the year. It was also fantastic to see so many parents and families attending and supporting our students. These occasions are an important opportunity to celebrate the dedication, teamwork and personal excellence that make our school community so special.
As we move through the middle of Term 4, planning for the 2027 school year is well underway. We have commenced the development of our 2027–2028 Biennial School Plan, with teachers and leaders working collaboratively to identify the key priorities that will guide our school improvement agenda over the next two years. This planning forms part of a broader Department of Education commitment to reducing administrative red tape and enabling schools to focus on what matters most: strengthening school culture, improving learning and accelerating academic progress. We look forward to sharing further updates and seeking community input through our P&C Committee across November and into the new year.
Our leadership team is also progressing exciting changes to our Year 7–10 Activities lessons for 2027, with a renewed focus on expanding sporting opportunities, participation and excellence. We are looking forward to creating meaningful opportunities for students to develop their skills, discover new interests and strengthen their connection to school through these programs.
This week, we were particularly excited to see our Year 9 students commence their Sidekick mentoring program training. These students will play an important role in welcoming and supporting our incoming Year 7 students for 2027. By developing their mentoring skills and preparing to be positive role models, our Year 9 students will help build the connections, confidence and sense of belonging that are so important when transitioning into high school.
As always, thank you to our students, staff and families for the contribution you continue to make to our school. There is plenty happening as we look towards 2027, and we remain focused on creating opportunities for every learner to connect, contribute and thrive.
