Match reports
Intermediate Boys AFL:
Our first game wasn’t our best game. It started slowly with a few players out of position. It took some time to settle, but once we found our rhythm, the team lifted. Finished strong, got the job done.
In the second game, Jesse kicked five goals early, setting the tone for the rest of the match. At half time, Bradley fired everyone up with his motivational speech. The team responded with energy, dominated the rest of the game, and secured a massive win.
Whole team effort onto the next round!
Our third game was a much closer contest. The boys linked up across the ground, moved the ball cleanly, and worked as a true team. Strong communication and effort all around helped secure another win, and a good end to the day, with a 3rd overall finish.

Year 7 Boys AFL:
The Heathmont boys were dominant all day, working together as a team, and it was great to see the kids who don’t play footy get involved.
Our first game against Ashwood was great to watch. Everyone was getting involved, and it was a nice warm-up for the boys, preparing them for the next tougher game. The final score was Heathmont 164 Ashwood 14.
The boys started slow in our second game against Auburn, but they soon found a rhythm, which gave them the momentum to be as dominant as they were in game one. The final score was Heathmont 60 Auburn 17.
Overall, it was a great day for the boys, as well as for us as coaches, to see them enjoy the day and make it through to the next round.
