Bits and Pieces!
As you may have seen in my email, we are currently taking part in the Prime Minister's Spelling Bee for our students in Years 3 to 6.
This competition is what it sounds like, checking how spelling is going at different year levels!
There is a chance for prizes if students continue in the competition, however we are pleased that every single entrant will receive a participation certificate at one of our assemblies! Further to this we will have certificates per class, and for our school champion!
If you believe that your child in Year 3-6 would like to take part, parent permission is required. Please follow the link below and enter some details and we can take it from there!

We look forward to updating progress in a future newsletter. For the mean time, see some words below that could feature in the competition per year level. You might wish to try these with students, or even fun to test yourself as an adult!

You may have seen in our office over the last few weeks a competition related to our current Integrated Unit, The Arts. Students across our wonderful school this term are learning all about Music, Dance and Drama. As you would expect this links really well with our upcoming production!
Our competition was to see How well you know our staff! A range of our staff filled kin questions about their favourites related to the Arts such as movies, songs and artists!
Our first round was Favourite Disney/Animated Movie. Congratulations to Molly, Xavier and Sophie who correctly matched staff to their favourite animated film. Who knew Mr Ru loves Wall-E, Mrs Campbell is a big fan of Beauty and the Beast and Mrs Di Camillo, Mrs B and Mrs Kirkham are all Finding Nemo all picked Finding Nemo??
Please keep an eye out for the next round starting next week! Students, parents and teachers are all welcome to enter!
We look forward to some more events this term, next issue we will be diving into everything Book Week!
Take care
