St Simon's Athletics Achievements

🏃♀️🏆 St Simon Athletes Sprint, Jump and Throw Their Way to Success! 🏆🏃♂️
What a fantastic day of athletics for St Simon!
During the final week of Term 3, 16 talented St Simon students proudly represented our school at the Knox Division Track and Field Championships, competing against some of the best young athletes in the division.
The road to the championships started well before competition day. Throughout the term, our athletes worked incredibly hard to develop their skills through the Physical Education program, with many students also giving up their mornings to attend dedicated training sessions with Mr Camerino. Their commitment, determination and willingness to push themselves really shone through on the day.
And what a day it was! ⭐
Our athletes produced some outstanding performances, with many achieving fantastic results across a range of track and field events. The competition was fierce, with some events decided by the smallest of margins. Several of our students narrowly missed out on a place by just a second or two in their races or by mere centimetres in their throws and jumps!
These close results are a wonderful reflection of the high standard of competition and the incredible skill and effort our students put into their events.
🌟 A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR REGIONAL QUALIFIERS! 🌟
A special congratulations to:
Tyler Li • Samia Dell Aquila • Jackson Thompson • Piper Eimermacher • Ariana Duke • Eva Torcasio • Oscar Agius
These outstanding athletes finished 1st or 2nd in their events, earning themselves a place at the Eastern Region Track and Field Championships on Thursday 22 October! 🎉
We are incredibly proud of all 16 students who represented St Simon. Whether they finished first, narrowly missed a podium place, achieved a personal best or simply gave their absolute best on the day, every student should be proud of their efforts.
Well done, St Simon athletes! We are so proud of you and wish our regional qualifiers the very best as they take on their next challenge! 🏃♀️💨🏃♂️💪🏆
