NAPLAN 2026

We are exceptionally pleased with our 2026 NAPLAN results in both Years 3 and 5. Some of the main features worth noting in our Five Year Trend Data are as follows:

  • Growth in Year Three READING outcomes in top 50% of students, with strong and steady SCHOOL MEAN results.
  • Growth in Year Three SPELLING outcomes in top 50% of students.
  • Growth in Year Three SPELLING at the 10th and 25th percentiles .
  • Significant growth in Year Three SPELLING outcomes with the school MEAN outperforming State and National outcomes between 2024 - 2026.
  • Significant growth in Year Three NUMERACY outcomes at all levels between 2024 and 2026 with a higher than average MEAN result in 2025 and 2026.
  • Significant growth in Year Five SPELLING outcomes in top 75th and 90th percentiles of students between 2025 and 2026.
  • Significant growth in Year Five NUMERACY outcomes,  particularly in the top 50% of students between 2024 and 2026.

We believe these strong testing results can be attributed, in part, to the consistent use of explicit teaching practices. By clearly modelling concepts, providing guided and independent practice, giving timely feedback, and systematically revisiting previously taught content, teachers support students to develop secure foundational knowledge and skills. This structured approach increases students’ confidence and ability to apply their learning independently, which can contribute to improved performance in national assessments.

FINAL STUDENT DAY FOR 2026

Wednesday 16th December, 12 noon finish - We notify parents now that we will have an early finish on our final student day this year. Please note the date has not changed, only the finishing time. This will enable staff to gather in the afternoon of that day to hold their annual 'handover' to the following year's teachers; a process which can often take up to three hours to complete. We hope this does not cause too much inconvenience to families, especially with the early notification. TheirCare will also be notified of the early finish on this day. Thank you for your understanding.
