Southern Schools Surf Competition

Well done to all of our students who competed in the Southern Schools Competition on Tuesday. The schools involved were Miami, Burleigh, Palm Beach, Currumbin, Coolangatta, and Tallebudgera.

The event was moved to Kirra due to the large swell, and our surfers—Kruz, Zaylah, Sonny, and Harley didn’t waste any time getting stuck into their heats. Teaming up with Miami SS, they delivered some fantastic performances and achieved great scores. There was awesome surfing across all schools. At the conclusion of the carnival, the combined Tallebudgera and Miami team secured second place overall, just behind Currumbin SS. Such an incredible result.

A huge thank you to the parents for getting our surfers there for the early start, and to all the staff from each school who made such a great event possible.

Well done surfers, we’re all ready to go for our next competition in Week 9!

The Touch Football Academy has been pushed back to Term 3 to allow our senior Oztag students to get their training in before the Allschools Oztag competition.

The Touch Football Academy will now start at the beginning of Term 3 and will be used as an opportunity for teams competing at the Allschools Touch Football competition in Term 4.

Running Club

Running Club is back up and running on Friday mornings and will kick off next week. This term students will be focusing on their sprinting skills in preparation for the sports days at the end of this term.
