Sport at Maramba Primary School – Term 1
It has been an exciting and active start to the year in Sport at Maramba Primary School.
Firstly, a big congratulations to Tenzin and Jay for qualifying and representing our school at the recent Division Swimming Carnival. Both boys performed exceptionally well, with Tenzin achieving a fantastic result, finishing 3rd in the Boys 11 Years Freestyle. This is a tremendous achievement and a proud moment for our school community.
Last Friday, we held our Years 3–6 House Athletics Carnival, and it was a great success. Students demonstrated outstanding effort, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship across all events. It was fantastic to see so many students getting involved, supporting their peers, and striving to achieve their personal best. Please note that the Shot Put and Discus events are still to be completed during upcoming PE classes, and these results will contribute to the final house totals.
On Thursday, we also participated in our Lightning Premiership Summer events. All students acquitted themselves extremely well throughout the day. Our four basketball teams showed great determination, winning some games and narrowly losing others, while remaining competitive in every match. The same can be said for our cricket and kickball teams, who represented the school with great effort and teamwork. It was a fun and enjoyable day for all involved.
This Friday, we look ahead to our House Cross Country event and wish all students the very best of luck as they challenge themselves and represent their houses.
