Leading the Way

Our student leaders play an incredibly important role in shaping the culture of our school. Our student leaders are not only role models for their peers, but they are also our future. The way they learn to lead, collaborate, and make decisions now will influence the kind of adults they become. This is why it is so important that we, as a school community, continue to encourage and nurture them. Leadership grows through guidance, opportunity, reflection, and support.

By providing our student leaders with consistent support and positive reinforcement, we build their confidence and strengthen their ability to make thoughtful, responsible choices. We want every student leader to know that their voice matters, that they are capable, and that they can make a meaningful contribution to our school. Our Year 6 leaders regularly engage in reflective discussions, considering how they demonstrate leadership through their actions and interactions.

I am proud of the way our student leaders represent our school, and I look forward to continuing to support them as they grow into confident, compassionate, and capable individuals.

Harmony Day

On Thursday, March 19th, our school proudly celebrated Harmony Day with a whole-school assembly and vibrant parade. Students came together to recognise and celebrate the rich diversity within our community. Throughout the week, classrooms focused on our school value of Relationships, reinforcing the importance of respect, inclusion and a strong sense of belonging. It was wonderful to see students embracing the message that everyone belongs. Harmony Day was a meaningful reminder of the strength we find in celebrating our differences and supporting one another.

Spotlight 📣 on Foundation 🎉

Our Foundation students are beginning to explore Stage 2 sounds in our Little Learners Love Literacy program. They have been learning the letter 'b' and the sound it makes. Students practised recognising, saying, and writing the /b/ sound, and enjoyed finding words that begin with this sound.

To bring their learning to life, students created a fun bat craft! After making their bats, they used their growing phonics knowledge to write simple words or sentences about their creation, using the /b/ sound. It was wonderful to see students having a go at stretching out words and applying their sound knowledge in their writing.

We are so proud of the confidence and enthusiasm students are showing as they begin to use their sounds to become independent writers!
