Science News

It’s been a fantastic start to the year in Science, with our new Year 9 students diving into the scientific method and exploring body systems, while our Unit 1/2 classes have enthusiastically begun their VCE journey. And our Unit 3/4 students should also be congratulated for successfully completing their first SACs.
As we head into the holidays, we encourage students to stay curious and engaged with the world around them. Whether it’s visiting Scienceworks, exploring the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne, getting involved in citizen science projects with CSIRO, or even capturing a “scientific photo” for our Term 3 competition, there are plenty of ways to keep your scientific thinking active over the break.

- While public transport is free, why not take a trip to the zoo? If you’re under 16 it’s free admission too! https://www.zoo.org.au/melbourne/whats-on/
Or maybe you just want to try some simple science experiments at home?
