Officer Engagement Presentations
Surf Coast Secondary College has teamed up with Torquay Police to run Officer Engagement Presentations to our students this term, creating a platform for students to learn about important issues, build trust, empower our youth and engage in meaningful dialogue with officers.
A big thank you to Leading Senior Constable Cathryn Hastie for facilitating our Officer Engagement Presentations over the past few weeks. Cathryn spoke to our students with year level tailored presentations, bringing together local law enforcement and students in a positive, educational environment.
Thank you also to Ambulance Victoria and Meli for adding their invaluable knowledge and co presenting our Year 9 & 10 presentations.
School Wellbeing Team
Welcome to the new school year! This is a great opportunity to introduce the Wellbeing Team and the support we offer. We’re here to help students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn, whether that’s through a quick check-in, individual support, group programs, or whole-school wellbeing activities. We work closely with students, families, and staff, so please reach out if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s wellbeing.
A new exciting initiative for 2026 is our Wellbeing Self-Referral form. This provides students a private and easy way to let us know they’d like to check in, ask for help, or talk about something that’s on their mind. Support is confidential, and a member of the Wellbeing Team will follow up with the student after the form is submitted.
Students can access this form via Compass under ‘School Favourites’ (the star icon). or via this link - Wellbeing Self Referral Form
