VET Music @ The Barwon Club

On Tuesday 28th April, our 2026 VET Music cohort played their first Barwon Club Hotel gig for the year. It was a fabulous night showcasing VET bands and soloists from Surf Coast and Lorne Colleges. The standard was impressive demonstrating commitment and hard work from all performers. The next Barwon Club gig is coming up on Wednesday June 10th. Come along and hear some great home grown music and have a good pub feed.

Year 9 & 10 Outdoor Education Update

Year 9 and 10 Outdoor Education students have been actively developing their practical skills and independence through experiences such as snorkelling, surfing, canoeing, rock climbing, and Trangia cook-ups. Students also had the opportunity to have learn budgeting and meal planning before their 3-day journey program.

Together, these experiences foster resilience, teamwork, environmental awareness, and real-world problem-solving.

Opening Night Performance

Our talented musicians helped to entertain our visitors at our school Open Evening last term. They bought the vibes which helped to showcase what our college is all about to our prospective students and parents.

Werribee Open Range Zoo

Our VCE - VM students visited Werribee Open Range Zoo as a part of their Work Related Skills and Personal Development Skills courses.

Students observed how a large organisation operates as well as careers including animal keepers, educators, hospitality staff, electricians, carpenters and maintenance staff.  Teamwork, workplace communication, OHS in real working environments, conservation and sustainability were also a focus for the students.

A nice bonus to this work was spending time observing the animals.

Thanks to Franca and Tiana for capturing these images!
