All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

WELCOME to all new families to St Louis' de Montfort's Primary School and a huge WELCOME BACK to all our returning families.

2026 has started with a bang! It's been so lovely seeing our beautiful students return and catching up with families after the holidays, which now seem like a distant memory.

Apart from welcoming new students and new teachers to our school, I'm very pleased to welcome our new Parish Priest, Fr Michael Kong.

Fr Michael was previously an administrator at Sacred Heart in Kew and has been appointed as Parish Priest of St Mary of the Cross Parish. He brings with him a very enthusiastic attitude, a visible commitment to faith and a love of minions.

He spent a couple of hours on Thursday visiting some of our classes and will be back again next week to visit some more. I don't think he realised the enormity of our school.

Students were very impressed with his knowledge of minions, anime and pop culture.

I look forward to working with him as we bring the love of Jesus to our school students and families.

For those with social media, his Instagram handle is @papadonpreach

This year, the Catholic Archdiocese is celebrating Catholic Education Week, commemorating St Patrick.

We are asked to walk in the footsteps of St Patrick and put our trust in God, just as he did.

Throughout the term, the students will be learning a little more about St Patrick and his devotion to Christ.

St Patrick’s prayer:

Christ beside me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ within me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me.
