Happy Week 10!
The Angelus
At our school, we cherish the moments where we can pause as a community to connect with God and reflect on our faith. Prayer occurs in our school everyday. One of these special traditions is the praying of the Angelus. Traditionally prayed at noon, the Angelus is a beautiful, centuries old Catholic prayer that commemorates the Incarnation, the moment God became man in Jesus Christ through Mary's "yes." As a school we will be praying the Angelus. In the midst of our busy school day, our students and staff will stop what they are doing, quiet their minds, and spend a few moments in shared prayer. It is a wonderful daily reminder for all about God’s constant presence in our lives, teaching the value of mindfulness, gratitude, and daily reflection.
Students have started to be formally introduced to this prayer, to help understand the history, meaning and significance of it. We will begin praying The Angelus as a whole school in Week 3.
NAIDOC Celebrations
On Friday 3rd July (last day of Term 2), our school hosted a fabulous NAIDOC Celebration! The students took part in a Liturgy, viewed performances and took part in workshops from the McCarthy Dance Group, and enjoyed other activities. The day was topped off with a BBQ Lunch donated and cooked by TAMS, and cake!
A huge THANK YOU to all those who came along, both from our school community, as well as the wider Quirindi and Liverpool Plains community. We enjoyed hosting local preschoolers, local government members, and a range of Armidale Catholic Schools' staff.
Congratulations to Miss Allan and our wonderful Cultural Group for their performances, and readings on the day.
Grandparents' Day
We were blessed to celebrate Grandparents' Day with over 60 of our loved ones on Friday! What an amazing day it was!
Thank you to all those who came along, and to those who were with us in spirit. Grandparents play such an integral role in children's lives, it was lovely to celebrate them together.

Sacramental Program - Baptism and Reconciliation
The next sacrament to be celebrated within our school community is the Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as Confession or Penance). Notes for eligible students have now been distributed. If you are interested in your child taking part, and did not receive a letter, please reach out via email.
